Radio Engineering Industries Inc. (REI) has received an order from the County of Hawaii for digital video surveillance products designed specifically for the transportation industry.
The order for BUS-WATCH security products includes digital video recorders and multiple cameras per vehicle. Starcomm Wireless, official distributor and warranty repair center for REI products in Hawaii, will complete the installation and provide service after the systems are in operation.
REI also recently supplied BUS-WATCH camera systems to ElDorado National California for six buses slated for delivery to the County of Maui on brand new 40-foot Axess low-floor vehicles.
The delivery marks the first car in a 374‑vehicle order and begins the arrival of a new generation of higher‑capacity, more reliable, and more comfortable trains for one of the country’s busiest commuter rail systems.
