HSM announced Anthony “Tony” W. Everett, president of the company’s Transportation & Specialty Manufacturing Division, will retire on July 31, 2018.

Everett, a 30-year veteran of the seating industry, joined HSM with the acquisition of C.E. White in 2012 and held positions of increasing responsibility before serving as the division’s president. Over the six years Everett has been with HSM, Transportation & Specialty Manufacturing has grown into a key supplier in the school bus seating segment, touching all major school bus producers, and driving innovation in seating solutions. The division supports customer needs in several transportation segments in addition to the school bus, including commercial seats, RV, ATV, and aftermarket. Prior to joining HSM, Everett spent 18 years with American Seating and six years with C.E. White.

“I have come to a fork in the road and I feel it’s time to put the passion and energy into my personal life as unwaveringly as I have into my business life,” stated Everett.

During his retirement, Everett will continue to support the company in a strategic advisory role and be involved in special projects.

A search for the new division president has been initiated. In the interim, the Transportation & Specialty Manufacturing Division will report to COO Michael Hinshaw.

Hinshaw stated, “Transportation is a core growth business for HSM. We are committed to continuously developing new and innovative solutions for our customers and markets.”
