Megabus.com will expand service from Atlanta to Athens, Ga. and from Atlanta to New Orleans via the Mobile, Ala. to Montgomery, Ala. route.
Atlanta to Athens service will begin on Feb. 29. Atlanta to New Orleans service will begin on April 2. Customers can begin booking travel on the Megabus.com website.
Megabus.com will offer three daily departures to Athens and two daily departures to New Orleans.
Megabus.com will also begin to integrate double-deck buses on routes to and from Atlanta. The first cities to see the double-decks will be Orlando, Fla., Knoxville, Tenn., Nashville, Tenn. and Memphis, Tenn. The high demand for affordable travel in the region led to the upgrade to double-deck buses.
The 81-passenger, 13.1 feet high, double-deck buses offer free Wi-Fi, power outlets and seat belts, as well as a panoramic view, comfortable reclining seats, restroom and ADA accessibility.
