MINNEAPOLIS — The StarTribune reports that Metro Transit is cleaning up its trains, adding more police on its light rail lines, and launching an anti-harassment campaign rewarding passengers who exhibit “positive behavior” to help boost ridership.
The improvements, which also include improving its technology to make riding the bus more reliable and adding new bus routes, will cost about $1.5 million from Metro Transit’s $55 million reserve fund, according to the report.
