N.C.’s Charlotte Area Transit System selected Tangee Mobley as its new GM, bus operations. She will be responsible for managing all aspects of bus operations, including fixed-route service, Special Transportation Service (paratransit), bus maintenance and vanpool.

Mobley’s most recent position was with Central Florida Regional Transportation Authority in Orlando, Fla., where she was director, transportation and maintenance. There, Mobley oversaw the transportation operations of 2,400 square miles of service area.

Prior to that position, she worked with the Metropolitan Transit Authority of Harris County in Houston as the sr. director, transportation, where she was responsible for five operating facilities with nearly 1,600 employees. She also rose through the ranks at Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority from bus operator to general superintendent at the beginning of her career.
