The Greater Orlando Aviation Authority Board approved the selection of National Express Transit Corp. to provide the authority’s shuttle bus management services at the Orlando International Airport beginning Feb. 1.

“We are sincerely excited about providing these services for the millions of passenger and employee trips each year at Orlando International Airport,” said Gary Waits, CEO of National Express Transit Corp. “We take pride in providing safe and reliable service and look forward to getting people to and from their destination and to being a trusted partner in the Orlando community.”

National Express ranked the highest of three firms that included two other multinational transit contracting and management companies. The contract will be managed by Russell Brashear, a 26-year veteran of the airport and public transportation industry, with previous experience at the Orlando International Airport as well as other airports and public transportation systems across the country.
