New Flyer receives $157 million in firm bus orders
Order includes 249 buses for California-based Orange County Transportation Authority.
New Flyer Industries Inc. was awarded firm bus orders for 441 buses, representing an estimated $157 million in revenue. Chicago Transit Authority exercised options from its November 2004 contract with New Flyer for 185 40-foot, clean-diesel, stainless steel buses for a contract award of $63 million. California-based Orange County Transportation Authority amended its September 2005 contract by increasing its base order of 50 40-foot CNG buses by 249 buses, having a value of $92 million. Roaring Fork Transportation Authority in Aspen, Colo., ordered seven 40-foot diesel Invero buses for a contract value of $2.5 million. To find out more about New Flyer, visit www.newflyer.com
