STV Launches Power Practice
STV announced the launch of a Power practice to help public agencies, utilities, and private owners respond to accelerating demand for reliable, resilient power across the nation’s infrastructure.
The Power practice is a priority under STV’s 2026–2028 Strategic Plan, which emphasizes focused growth, strengthening the expertise behind the firm’s work, and stronger outcomes for clients and communities.
Power becomes STV’s fourth infrastructure vertical, alongside Transportation, Buildings, and Water, reflecting the firm’s strategic focus on long-term trends driving infrastructure investment. Demand from electrified mobility, data centers, and modern facilities is already changing how transportation systems, buildings, and water infrastructure are planned, designed, built, and delivered, said STV.
STV’s power capabilities span front-of-the-meter and behind-the-meter infrastructure, including utility-coordinated grid and substation upgrades; traction power systems for transit; and resilient facility and campus power solutions.

SilverRide Expands to Pacific Northwest with King County Metro
SilverRide Inc. announced its first contract in Washington State through a new partnership with MV Transportation to provide supplemental paratransit service for King County Metro. The contract marks SilverRide’s entry into the Pacific Northwest and expands SilverRide’s partnership with MV.
Service launched in mid-December 2025, delivering assisted trips across King County, with ridership anticipated to increase steadily, officials said. Moovit introduces AI tools to streamline trip planning
Moovit announced the global launch of an AI-powered experience designed to remove the effort and uncertainty from public transit.
Navigating transit has always required work: searching routes, comparing tradeoffs, tracking delays, and adjusting on the fly. This new experience shifts the burden away from riders. It acts as a personal companion, learning your preferences, recommending the best route for you, explaining why it’s the right choice, and continuously managing the journey in real time.
Moovit now simplifies this by analyzing each suggested route based on factors like travel time, transfers, and walking distance, then displaying clear, actionable insights. Hence, users instantly understand the trade-offs of each option.
Key Trip Insights include a personalized AI-driven recommendation based on a user’s travel history and preferences to suggest the optimal route for them; optimized routes for real-time weather conditions to reduce exposure to rain, snow, extreme heat, or cold; flags connections with short transfer windows; and highlights routes with frequent service and short wait times.
Additional Trip Insights include Last Departure, Long Wait Time, Earliest Arrival, Fewest Transfers, Direct, and Least Walking.
These Trip Insights are available on both iOS and Android for Moovit+ subscribers.
