TCRP releases transit capacity, service manual
Reference work is designed for transit practitioners and policy makers.
The Transit Cooperative Research Program (TCRP) has released the second edition of the its Transit Capacity and Quality of Service Manual. The TCRP report contains 622 pages of background, statistics and graphics on various types of public transportation. It provides a framework for measuring transit availability and quality of service from the passenger point of view. The manual also contains quantitative techniques for calculating the capacity of bus, rail and ferry transit services, and transit stops, stations and terminals. The manual (TCRP Report 100) is available at no charge and can be ordered online at www.tcrponline.org
