Transdev Adds Downtown Shuttle in Colorado Springs

Transdev announced it has recently expanded its presence in Colorado Springs, Colorado as they began operation of the new Colorado Springs Downtown Shuttle for Mountain Metropolitan Transit.

Phase one of the new, fare-free downtown shuttle service launched on May 22, offering service to a downtown area with 13 service stops. The stops include Colorado Springs’ minor league soccer stadium, its college hockey arena, and the U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Museum. Phase two will be adding additional stops to be announced later this summer.

As part of this partnership, Transdev is operating the shuttles and is responsible for scheduling and dispatch.

“We are excited to launch this new service with our client and, in doing so, demonstrate our experience operating a fixed route service,” said Derrick Breun, regional VP for Transdev’s mountain region. “We’ve worked with them for many years, and they’ve seen our commitment to safety, reliability and customer service through our paratransit contract – this is a new opportunity for us to showcase another element of our expertise, while providing our new passengers the freedom to move and explore their exciting downtown."
