The Greater Cleveland Regional Transit Authority’s (GCRTA) board unanimously approved a new contract for GCRTA CEO/GM India L. Birdsong Terry. The contract continues Terry’s employment through Dec. 31, 2027.
She has led the agency since September 2019.
"I am delighted to continue serving the GCRTA and Greater Cleveland, as our agency continues to set the bar regarding innovative mobility solutions and community connections,” said Terry. “Service reliability, and robust civic partnerships will remain crucial cornerstones of our success, in support of enhanced customer travel experience. I sincerely appreciate the support of our board of trustees, internal team, and community partners, as we continue to strengthen our brand as a mobility pacesetter in the region."

The region’s fixed-route system finished out the year with a total of 373.5 million rides. Adding 12.3 million rides over 2024 represents an increase that is equal to the annual transit ridership of Kansas City.
