OCEANSIDE, Calif. — A specific timetable for the sidelined Sprinter light rail system won't be available until May, officials for the North County Transit District said Thursday. The Sprinter network was shut down on March 9 as a precautionary measure after the discovery of accelerated brake wear during a state inspection, according to a U-T San Diego report.
The agency hopes to receive replacement parts by late April and install and test them in May, but requires regulatory approvals before it can return any of its trains to service. For the full story, click here.
