Megabus launches bus tracking app
Passengers on Midwest and Southeast routes can use Megabus USA to determine the estimated time of arrival for their bus and find bus stop locations.
Megabus.com recently announced the launch of its new Megabus USA mobile application. Passengers can use the free app to determine the estimated time of arrival for their bus and find bus stop locations. The app is the first of its kind in the intercity bus industry, according to the company.
"Megabus.com is always looking for ways to better serve our customers, and this mobile app is a great tool for our passengers and our company,” said Dale Moser, president and COO of megabus.com. “Megabus.com has become the travel option of choice and this is just one more way we’re striving to provide the best customer service possible.”
The app — the only official megabus.com application — is available for iOS and Android platforms. Once downloaded, users can input their origin and destination cities and the times they are traveling to confirm what time their bus will arrive.
Megabus USA is available at this time to passengers traveling on megabus.com’s Midwest and Southeast routes. Northeast routes will be added soon. Current cities available for tracking include Atlanta; Birmingham, Ala.; Champaign, Ill.; Charlotte, N.C.; Cleveland; Columbia, S.C.; Detroit; Gainesville, Fla.; Indianapolis; Nashville, Tenn.; Orlando, Fla.; St. Louis; and Toledo, Ohio.
