The Amalgamated Transit Union Local 1536 overwhelmingly ratified a collective bargaining agreement with Keolis Transit America, which provides fixed-route bus services for Las Vegas’ Regional Transportation Commission (RTC). The agreement, which covers drivers and mechanics, runs through July 6, 2017 and provides employees with increases in both wages and benefits.

“We are pleased that the negotiations resulted in such a positive outcome for our employees,” said Kevin Adams, executive VP/GM for Keolis Transit America. “We have an outstanding team of transportation professionals here in Las Vegas and with their support we will continue to provide this region with the outstanding service it has come to expect from the RTC and Keolis.”

Since 2013, Keolis has operated and provided maintenance and customer service through its contract with the RTC for 16 fixed routes in the southern half of the Las Vegas Valley, including service along the resort corridor of Las Vegas Boulevard, which includes the Deuce on the Strip and Strip and Downtown Express routes.
