PITTSBURGH — The Port Authority received a $100,000 grant to help pay for the expenses associated with conducting a national search for a new CEO, reported the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette.

The firm conducting the search, Krauthamer & Associates of Maryland, was hired in April and has a $91,575 contract for the search, plus $20,000 in expenses, the report said.

According to an agency spokesman, the authority applied for the grant, bestowed by the Hillman Foundation, a local nonprofit, so it could reduce the amount of its own funds used for the search.
